Of course they would loose. Of course Finn would kiss Rachel. Of course Mr. Shuester would decide not to be on Broadway. Nothing exciting happened. I was only surprised/ happy when Kurt and Rachel sang my favorite song from Wicked.
On a semi-unrelated note, I watched a dumb movie on Netflix called Private, and Chord Overstreet (Sam) was one of the main characters.

1. I love Kurt + Blaine. They can take anything.
2. Why did they bring Jesse back? He's kind of stupid, and not that entertaining.
3. Come on guys, Emma would have had a gorgeous prom dress. Couldn't Will have brought her along?
4. Rolling In the Deep is my favorite song, and they totally messed it up.
5. And did they have to sing Friday? It's such a moronic song that it's not even funny to make jokes about it anymore.

Tonight's Glee Episode

Sorry, but even lovely Darren didn't add anything to the rather dull plot tonight. It was boring. Boring. That's not a weird I usually apply to Glee. The singing was good, but the plot was practically nonexistent. It wasn't funny either.
Hopefully they'll do more than drag out long diva rants in next week's hour and a half episode.

Seriously, how much do they have to talk about sex in an episode? Every other sentence? Every single sentence? By the second half hour, it wasn't even funny anymore.
The only parts I liked were when Gwyneth Paltrow and Matthew Morrison had a duet, when the Warblers sang, and when John Stamos showed up. Everything else was just too much. It might have been better if they'd spaced all of those plot lines out over a few episodes, not crammed everything about relationships and sex into a single hour.

"Ke- dollar sign- ha." The best line was Figgins' mispronunciation of Ke$ha. Just saying.
So, we just saw a bunch of drunk kids perform Ke$ha. Well, they weren't actually drunk, but they were acting drunk. It was a good musical number (gotta love Brittany), but that barf at the end just looked like grape juice. I loved when Blaine and Rachel sang, and their fake romance was funny, and I'm glad it all worked out. I also loved that Carol King was playing in the background. She's my favorite singer.
BUT, the best part of the episode was when we heard Will's call to Emma. Of course, I would rather hear that he still loved when he was sober, but there is still hope. AND, in two weeks, she seems to get very angry at Holly/Gwyneth Paltrow... maybe because she gets too close to Will? We shall see.

Glee- Comeback

Glee almost had a comeback moment- it hasn't been so good lately. The episode started out with funny Sue Sylvester one liners, but it slowly deteriorated. The Beiber songs weren't as bad as I was thinking they'd be, but does it really make girls melt like that? Nope. It doesn't. Also, Santana's character is awful. I don't know if she's supposed to be funny, but she isn't- she's just gross, and sad. Next week I guess we'll be seeing what happens when they all get drunk, but my question is, is getting the characters drunk the only way we can see them let loose?

Wow, two new Glee episodes in less than a week. I liked the Thriller/Sue Cannon/ Football Game one better. This one was kind of harsh; I know Puck likes Lauren, but he doesn't have to keep pointing out that she's not exactly a size four. Also, Rachel's line about Santana being destined to "work a pole" was unnecessary. These kids are getting mean, and I don't like it.Also, Finn and Quinn just does not work. Sorry, but it failed once, and she had a baby.

Glee Super Bowl Episode

The episode was funny and entertaining, but the Thriller number wasn't as big as I was expecting it to be. I'd read that they had two ambulances on standby during the episode, just in case, but the episode wasn't extremely over the top- it was good, and entertaining, but not HUGE. I was also disappointed that Katie Couric wasn't in the episode more. She had some funny lines, and looked great, but I wish she'd had a bigger role.
On the bright side, there were some romantic plot twists.... My question is, how could Quinn look totally perfect with Sam in the beginning, get all googly eyed at Puck in the middle, and kiss Finn at the end??

I LOVE GLEE. I love Modern Family and 30 Rock too, but Glee is my favorite (I blog about it... just saying...) Everyone came up on stage to accept the award (Coach Beiste, Jacob, and all of the other guys too.) I love them. They deserved it- it's been such a good night for Glee. Modern Family kicked some butt at the Emmy's, but I Glee's making a pretty darn good come back tonight.

The people I've talked to who have only seen one Glee episode always remember Sue, and my friends who don't normally watch the show even understand when I quote her. Sue Sylvester is epic, and so is Jane.

CHRIS COLFER WON A GOLDEN GLOBE!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY. He deserved it 210%. I loved some of the other nominees, but I doubt any of them would have given as touching an acceptance speech. Chris actually was shocked, and his comment, "I think I dropped my heart somewhere between Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore..." was adorable. I loved that he spoke out against bullying, and ended with, "Well, screw that, kids," about bullies who tell you that you can't get what you want.

Glee goes for a Thriller

When Glee airs after the super bowl on February sixth, we'll be seeing the cast singing Michael Jackson's "Thriller." In the picture above, the cast is getting their Thriller on, and you can hardly tell that the girl in the middle is Naya Rivera (Santana), and that the girl on the right is Diana Agron (Quinn). Thriller has been playing in my school hallway almost all week, except when they randomly switched to playing the "This is Halloween" song from The Nightmare Before Christmas.....
Anyway, this is supposed to be the most expensive episode yet, so get excited! Glee's back in less than a month!

Justin Beiber songs on Glee?

I was doing a little reading, and found that even though they aren't doing a Justin Beiber tribute episode, the Glee cast will be singing his songs. Great. Ryan Murphy says, "Sam sing a JB song to win Quinn back," and Brad Falchuck says, "A lot of the other guys are sort of impressed by that, so they want to get involved."
Why Justin Beiber??? His music is awful! Glee can do better than that. There have been songs on Glee I haven't liked, but normally they chose songs from artists that have talent. They've only sung one Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana song, and Rachel Berry sang it for less than thirty seconds. Rachel even sang the song with laryngitis, so it hardly sounded like a song at all. If Glee can make a mockery of Miley Cyrus songs, why can't they do it to Beiber too? At least Miley Cyrus is on key sometimes.

I'm pretty certain that was the last Glee episode for a while because there was no preview after the episode.

So, this was a good episode, but it wasn't very exciting. There weren't really any cliffhangers! Will is coming to terms with the fact that Emma and Carl and married, Sue was being nice, Artie can sort of walk, and Rachel and Finn are still broken up (even after lots of singing and snowflakes, they still didn't make up...)

This was a sweet episode, with a lot of cute songs; the best was Kurt and Blaine's "Baby It's Cold Outside." They were the highlight of the episode! I love them! I hope they end up together.

It was cute that Brittany had her heart set on Santa causing miracles (WARNING TO PARENTS- this episode drops the Santa bomb), and it was so touching when Coach Beiste gave Artie the walking machine to make Brittany's wish come true.

So, I was talking about how awesome it would be to be an actress, when my mom told me that auditions for a reality show relating to Glee are going to be held in Chicago!! The reality show, which will air on Oxygen sometime in June, will be a competition for a guest starring role on Glee's third season. The auditions will be at The Chicago Academy for the Arts on December 18 and 19, from 10 am to 6 pm. You have to be eighteen or older to try out. I would love to do it... but I'm not eighteen. If you go, let me know! I want to hear all about it!

I'm glad there's still at least one more episode before the show goes on a break because there are so many unanswered questions flying around in my head right now. Why was Emma so depressed at the end? Why did she and Carl get hitched in Vegas? What's going to happen to Rachel and Finn? What about Kurt?
Speaking of Kurt, it seems like his time with the Warblers is going to be somewhat miserable. He doesn't get to be a star anymore!! I know that it isn't good for people to always be in the spotlight, but I bet Kurt is more talented than most of those Warbler kids anyway. Well, at least Rachel's being nice to him.And speaking of Rachel.... why is she always so annoying and stupid? She didn't need to make out with Puck! Now Finn's depressed again, which isn't going to be fun to watch.
Though there were a lot of relationship problems in this episode, the most important to me was Emma Pillsbury-Howell. I don't quite know where that came from; it was just so fast! Also, did you see Emma and Carl at the end, hugging? Emma looked so upset! I really hope she didn't just marry Carl to help herself get over Will; I like Carl, and want him to actually have a good relationship with Emma, not one built off of anger and spite!

Can't wait for the Christmas episode! I hope they throw in some good Hanukkah stuff. :)

So, I was walking with my family through the airport, when I see someone familiar out of the corner of my eye. It's Matthew Morrison! No, not in person, but on the cover of magazine, and not wearing a shirt. I flipped open the magazine and found many more pictures of Mr. Shuester, and quote that said "I definitely hooked up with a lot of girls when I was on Broadway." So, he's a player on and off screen.... and he showed up in my People magazine sexiest men list (because yes, I do occasionally read People magazine while I'm on the airplane.)

Ok, why would Sue want to marry herself? She must be so lonely! At first I just thought it was freaky and weird, but then I realized how depressing it actually was; she has never made a lasting connection with anyone other than her sister! Since her mother (Burnett) abandoned them, Sue and Jean had to rely soley on each other. Burnett did a great job, and he song was good, and funny.
My next favorite song was "Sway" even though it didn't have much to do with the story line, it's one of my favorite songs. All of Carol and Burt's wedding was so sweet- from their little speeches (which had me tearing up) to "Just the way you are."
The most intense story in this episode was Kurt's! Oh my gosh, Karovsky was awful to him! It's awful that the school wouldn't do anything about it, and it really stinks that Kurt has to switch schools. I hope that doesn't mean he gets less screen time; he's the best character on the show! Technically, Dalton is the best school for him, but if it means we get less Kurt per episode, I'm going to be very depressed.

Terri has always sort of bugged me; she's like the inevitable pile of sweaters that fall on me whenever I open my closet, always there, but totally unnecessary. I knew that she and Will would have a thing.... you could tell it was coming the whole time, but it was still weird. Also, this episode just reinforced how much of a jerk Will is. Seriously, he wasn't depressed at all when he told Terri to walk out for the last time, he just smiled and had some beer. Jerk.
Anyways, onto some happier stuff. Holly Holiday, The Substitute, was great! She can really sing! Her plot line made sense, unlike the whole tater tots thing (what the heck was that about????). I loved the Singing in the Rain/ Umbrella mash up. Singing in the Rain is a fun movie (if you haven't seen it, you're missing out), and I was really excited when Will and Mike did Make 'em Laugh.

Never Been Kissed... Glee style

Though there were some weird things in this episode, I thought it was pretty good. First of all, I love the Dalton Warblers- they are adorable and so talented!!!! Blaine is amazing, and I hope he and Kurt start dating. But, the football player guy kissing Kurt? I didn't see that one coming at all. Anyways, I am so excited about the future of Kurt and Blaine's relationship, and I can't wait to see what happens next!!!!!
That wasn't the only unexpected kiss; Will kissing Coach Beiste was pretty awkward. I could tell that was going to happen as soon as she said she'd never been kissed, but even though he did it to be nice, it didn't make much sense. I hope she doesn't fall in love with him now because that love quadrangle is confusing enough.

So, we know most of the characters on Glee have already been kissed, but Mercedes hasn't. Maybe this episode is about her... but I just was reading that Coach Beiste has a big role in next week's episode, so it could also be about her. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I sincerely hope that Kurt isn't actually changing schools, and that this is just a scare, because he is the best character on the show.

While his physique is admirable, his actions were not. Emma has a boyfriend, leave her alone!

Carl can really rock a motorcycle, and in Will's scene, all he "rocked" was a chair. Carl has the decency to stay fully dressed while in a school building, whereas Will is fine with losing a layer or two during a musical number (notice, he takes his button down shirt off before most of his musical numbers with the kids... like in Bust a Move). I love Mr. Shuester, but he hasn't been behaving himself lately, so this one goes to Carl.

TIME WARP

This episode did not disappoint! The musical numbers were so much fun, and we got just the right amount of plot mixed in. The last few episodes hadn't had much about Emma/Carl/Will, but this one was centered around it. My personal opinion is that Emma and Carl are perfect together, so I loved all their scenes together in this episode! When Carl/John Stamos sang, it was amazing- he's so good! And he's such a good dancer! Since I love Carl/Emma, I was pretty shocked when Emma agreed to sing Toucha Toucha Touch Me with Will.... the scene was a little risque....
Some of the questions touched on in this episode really resonated with the recent uproar about the GQ photo shoot. This episode was all about how far boundaries could be pushed before it was too much, and how much the students should be exposed to. The adults in the episode were worried about what the kids were seeing and about what they were exposed to, which is exactly what lots of parents have been saying about the GQ photo shoot and Glee in general.
Overall, this episode was awesome. I just wish Will would stop being so stupid (come on, he CAN'T play Rocky if Rachel is playing Janet.... they would have to sing the Toucha Toucha Touch Me song together, and that would be completely out of line....) Come on Will, get it together.

You're right, 8 year olds shouldn't watch Glee

I just read an article on the New York Times website about how Glee isn't appropriate for young kids. The author suggests that the writers of Glee stop and watch it with their young kids or elderly family members. She said, "If I still had an 8-year-old, I would not let him watch “Glee.” And if I were Fox, I would not show the program at 8 o’clock."
I agree with her about not letting an 8 year old watch Glee- the show isn't meant for little kids. I saw the pilot episode of Glee when I was in eighth grade; now, I'm in tenth grade. I'm old enough to watch this show, and I was old in enough to watch it in eighth grade too, but I think if I were any younger than that, and we would have had a bit of a problem.Glee talks about a lot of mature issues, which kids under eighth grade aren't quiet ready to be learning about.
It's hard to keep younger kids away from Glee because it seems like a family show with all the music and fun dance numbers, so I suggest showing the curious kids some of the musical numbers, but not much else. I have watched Glee with my parents, my younger siblings, my friends, and my grandparents- it isn't really a family show, but we've made it one. We're careful about who gets to see the more mature parts of the episodes, but we all get to see the musical numbers.

Glee's GQ Shoot

Well, let me start by saying, these pictures were the clean ones. There are pictures of Lea in extremely provocative poses, and where she isn't wearing much. Cory is always covered up, and Dianna's pictures weren't bad (Dianna just released a statement about the whole controversy) , but Lea.... well, that's a whole different story.
I like Glee, and I like that I can watch it with my younger brother. I have a sister who watches it too (though she doesn't get to see some of the scenes). I love that my whole family gets to watch this show, and talk about it. When I saw Lea in these photos, I thought, "Doesn't she know what kind of audience she has?" Younger kids watch Glee, and some look up to her character. I don't want to see Lea posing like that, and I definitely don't want my younger siblings to see it either.
There are a lot of good actresses who don't pose sexually in magazines- the ones who don't do that are often good role models. One of my favorites on the Glee cast is Amber Riley, who speaks up about appreciating one's body. Amber really is a great role model, and one I hope the younger viewers of Glee look up to.

Here's my message to Lea:

Lea, look at Miley and Lindsay. Please, don't go down the same path.
Young kids look up to you, and wish they had your voice. Before you pose in any more magazines, stop and think about those young girls. Some of them dream of having a career like yours. I don't want them to try and be like you if you are going to try and sell yourself as a sex object.
You are on a show where the characters are valued for what they bring to the Glee Club both vocally and emotionally, not sexually, and you should stick with those values, both on the show and in real life.

Ok, so it's not exactly how it was in the movie, but that's ok.
I think Kurt looks hilarious, and it's perfect that Artie can play Dr. Scott (who is in a wheelchair as well). Quinn sounds great! She doesn't sing quiet as much as some of the others (Rachel, cough, cough, Rachel), but I think she should. I was really excited when I heard her singing one of the lead vocals in Time Warp. I hope she gets some other songs in the episode too!

Darren Criss- Kurt's Boyfriend?

So, I was wrong about Sam Evans being Kurt's boyfriend (looks like he's got his eyes on Quinn....), but now I've heard that Darren Criss, who starred in A Very Potter Musical, could be playing the boyfriend. It isn't certain, but it sounds like a possibility.
I never saw A Very Potter Musical, even though I am a HUGE HARRY POTTER FAN, but one of my friends told me he was very good. She met him once. She is closer to the Glee cast than I am.

Wow, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is weird.

So, I figured it would be good for me to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show so that I knew what was going on in the Glee episode, so I rented it from Itunes this afternoon. I had no idea what it was about, and geez, I was surprised. I know they have "horror" in the title, but i had no idea that at one point they'd be eating a guy they had killed with an ice-pick. Let's just say, I was unable to eat my dinner. Lot's of people love this movie, but it didn't work for me.
Despite the creepiness, I did like the song "Time Warp" and I'm excited to see how Glee does it, but the rest of the movie freaked me out. I went on IMDB to look up all the actors, and the guy who plays Brad, Barry Bostwick, is actually going to be on the Glee episode.... I wonder who he's playing.

I'm looking forward to this episode, it should have some really fun musical numbers, and even if it doesn't make sense to someone like me who has never actually seen Rocky Horror, it will still be amazing because of Kurt's hair. :)

If I told you this wasn't weird, that would be a lie. This is weird, and now I have to wait two weeks to figure out what inspired such weirdness. I am pretty sure that she's singing the song " Touch-a Touch-a Touch-a Me"

I have never actually seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show... maybe this extra week of no Glee will give me a chance to catch up, so that I have some idea of what's going on in the episode.

I love that Quinn and Sam are going to have a relationship!!!!! I think that could really work because he seems so sweet, and as Santana said, the two of them together are, "So freaking charming." "Lucky" was such a good song for them, and they definitely were the right team to win the competition.
Kurt's song, "Le Jazz Hot," was great, as usual. I think Kurt needs some happier plot lines- his dad was in a coma, he's lonely, everyone he likes is taken.... Chris Colfer handles all the plot lines beautifully, but I think his character deserves to be a little happier.
Rachel Berry is starting to get on my nerves. Seriously, could she be any more conceited? I don't know how Finn puts up with her.

There wasn't a promo for next week ( they are rerunning "Hairography"), but the WEEK AFTER IS THE ROCKY HORROR EPISODE AND OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE THAT PROMO??????????

I just read that Glee broke the Beatle's record on the Billboard Hot 100 list- Glee beat their record on recordings by a non-solo act. Wow. That's a lot of music. I mean, who beats the Beatles at anything? Seriously.
It took the Beatles 32 years to have 71 chart hits, but it took Glee only about 1 year to get 75.

I can't wait to see Jane Lynch on SNL! She's hilarious, and tonight isn't going to be an exception. I'm guessing she's going to be in at least a couple Glee related sketches, but I'm actually more excited to see sketches that aren't Glee related- I love seeing Glee stars doing non-Glee stuff. I don't know if I'll get to see the episode tonight, but I'll write about it as soon as I do (thank you, Hulu).

Finn: When I pulled the sandwich out, I saw the face of God. Literally.

This episode wasn't filled with the same peppy brightness as the Britney episode, but I loved it. I might have been bawling during the flashback scene with Kurt and Burt, but I think that's part of what's made this one of my favorite episodes. I'm crying now actually, even though we don't need to be sad anymore.
After this episode, there is no doubt in my mind that Chris Colfer deserves an Emmy. Actually, he deserves more than an Emmy, he deserves multiple Emmy's, a Golden Globe, and whatever other awards are out there. Kurt Hummel has been my favorite character on the show since the Laryngitis episode, where he sang "Rose's Turn."
I was a little worried when I saw the promo for this week that the grilled cheese/Jesus thing might be weird, and it was, but it was a good sort of weird. The first time we saw Finn praying to a sandwich, my brother and I laughed; the whole sandwich thing wasn't being taken too seriously in the episode, if it had been, then it would have taken away from Burt and Kurt.

This episode sounds like it's going to be depressing. I mean, it looks like Burt is in a coma, and, when Jayma was on Good Day LA, she said this episode was going to require tissues.
It should also be funny though, because at some point we'll see Finn praying to his grilled cheese....

According to this article, last night's Britney/ Brittany episode had about 13.5 million viewers. And, 5.9% of those people were between the ages of 18 and 49. That's around the number of people that live in Cambodia (which, according to Wikipedia, has a population of 13,395,682).
Geez. That's a heck of a lot of people. Way to go, Glee!

This made me tear up a little, and I haven't even seen the episode yet!
It was the intense shot of Burt in the hospital, and Emma running down the hall. It also could have been the fact that I wanted to buy that dress, but didn't bother trying it on in the store... stupid stupid stupid.

Britney/ Brittany

This episode definitely made up for the lacking first one. I mean, it had John Stamos, Emma, John Stamos, and Britney Spears. Does it get better than that? Yes, actually, it does, because the episode ALSO had Brittany (not Spears, the other one), dancing to Britney songs, AND, we learned her full name. Brittany S. Pierce (say it out loud and see what you get.)
I am a huge, huge, huge Will/ Emma fan, but I think I'm having a change of heart. Dr. Carl is amazing. I mean, it's probably not legal for him to give anesthesia to Santana when she doesn't actually need it, but he's gorgeous and nice, and gorgeous.
This episode also had a lot of Finn/Rachel. Frankly, Finn and Rachel bug me. She's too uptight, and he's too dopey. They just don't work together!
Overall, this episode was the perfect mix of music, Sue Sylvester, Will/Emma/Carl, and Finn/Rachel. This episode was amazing, and I plan on watching it again before next Tuesday... if there's a day when I don't have too much homework....

AND OMG DID YOU SEE THE PROMO FOR NEXT WEEK?
